RTX has announced major strategic expansions across its global infrastructure. On June 8, the company's Raytheon business committed $100 million to expand its Portsmouth facility. This was followed on June 9 by a $63 million investment from Collins Aerospace to quadruple its MRO facility footprint in Malaysia to 164,000 square feet.
On June 4, Google signed a three-year agreement with Voltus for up to 100 MW of accredited distributed capacity. Voltus will aggregate batteries, smart thermostats, and EVs into a Google-funded Virtual Power Plant (VPP). Google is the first named hyperscaler customer for Voltus's BYOC offering in the PJM Interconnection.
