SignatureGlobal Posts Net Profit of Rs 669.05 Million After Annual Loss
Key Facts
SignatureGlobal reported consolidated net profit of Rs 669.05 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared with a net loss of Rs 468.61 million in the year-earlier period. The return to profitability came as second-quarter revenue in fiscal 2027 rose 141.49% year on year to Rs 817.41 crore. Adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 18%, from negative 7% a year earlier. Real estate activity indicators were mixed, however: pre-sales were Rs 1,830 crore, while collections grew at a slower pace. The results show improved profitability and revenue as the company continues to rely on its projects and launches in Gurugram.
Collections reached Rs 1,010 crore during the quarter, up 9% from Rs 930 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year. Pre-sales, which measure the value of new bookings, stood at Rs 1,830 crore in the second quarter. The contrast between collection growth and the level of pre-sales presents a different picture from accounting revenue growth, as these indicators measure different aspects of activity. Revenue was Rs 551.99 crore in the previous quarter, when the company posted a net loss of Rs 16.53 crore. The quarter-on-quarter comparison puts the return to profitability in the context of improved results from the first quarter, alongside the large year-on-year increase in revenue.
The average sales realisation was Rs 17,122 per square foot in the second quarter, up 12.3% from an average of Rs 15,250 per square foot in fiscal 2026. The company attributed the improvement to the launch of Tonino Lamborghini Residences in Sector 71, Gurugram. The chairman and whole-time director said demand for quality housing in Gurugram remained healthy and linked the positive market response to planned launches, including the project. The higher average price increases the value of sales realised per square foot, while bookings and collections remain separate indicators of business performance during the period. The company added development potential of 6.77 million square feet in Farrukhnagar, Gurugram, during the first half, marking its entry into a new micro-market.
For the first half of fiscal 2027, revenue rose 14% year on year to Rs 1,370 crore. The company posted net profit of Rs 50 crore for the six months, compared with a loss of Rs 10 crore in the year-earlier half. These results broaden the picture of the turnaround seen in the second-quarter figures, with the improvement extending to the half-year total. The company is basing its plans for the next phase on additional launches that management said it intends to bring to market in the second half. The plans include areas along Southern Peripheral Road and the Dwarka Expressway corridor, management said on the earnings call.
The company had earlier targeted a 21% increase in sales bookings during fiscal 2027 to Rs 10,000 crore, in a statement published in May 2026. In a market reaction, SignatureGlobal shares closed at Rs 742.65 on the BSE on November 6, 2026, up 1.24% during the session. The close followed the second-quarter results announcement, as the market awaited execution of the launch plan management outlined for the second half. The reported quarterly figures and the annual bookings target remain different measures: the target reflects earlier company guidance, while the announced results record performance for the quarter and first half. The new launches along the roads and corridors mentioned are expected to support the company's activity in the rest of the fiscal year, according to management's plans.
