Three investors sold more than 11.52 crore shares in Billionbrains Garage Ventures, the parent company of the Groww platform, equivalent to 1.84% of its share capital, in block deals on Friday, November 6, 2026. The total value of the transactions was 2,456.87 crore rupees, according to data from the Bombay and National stock exchanges cited in a Business Standard report. The sales were split among an arm of Peak XV, an arm of Y Combinator and Goldman Sachs. The transactions came as the parent company’s shares ended the session lower on both exchanges. Trading details showed the sales were partial exits from the investors’ stakes, not a sale of the company or a complete exit by them.

The shares sold were priced between 211.09 and 215.20 rupees apiece, the report said. Peak XV sold more than 6 crore shares through its arm, while YC Holdings II, an arm of Y Combinator, sold 5.50 crore shares on the Bombay Stock Exchange. Goldman Sachs sold only 4,380 shares on the National Stock Exchange of India, a limited amount compared with the other investors’ sales. The figures show a wide disparity in the scale of the exits by the three parties, despite their combined total accounting for 1.84% of the company. The report did not identify the other buyers on the exchanges.

Goldman Sachs appeared on both sides of trading in the same session: in addition to selling 4,380 shares, it bought 3.55 crore shares worth more than 764 crore rupees. The number of shares it bought was therefore far greater than the number it sold, according to the transaction details cited in the report. The identities of other buyers of the shares sold were not available in the exchange data referenced by the report. The activity highlights that the overall deal included simultaneous purchases and sales, rather than all the offered shares passing to one known buyer. The report provided no further details on the reasons for the sales or purchases.

Billionbrains Garage Ventures shares fell 3.87% to close at 215 rupees on the Bombay Stock Exchange, while they declined 3.66% to 215.70 rupees on the National Stock Exchange of India, the report said. This means the shares closed at different prices on the two markets, despite trading in the same session. The decline coincided with sales of more than 11.52 crore shares, valued at a total of 2,456.87 crore rupees. But the report did not attribute the fall to any single cause and did not cite market expectations or the performance of the two exchanges’ indexes during the session. The closing prices and percentage declines remain distinct for each exchange when assessing the stock’s movement.

Y Combinator’s November sales follow an earlier sale of a stake in Groww in August. That month, the investor sold a 1.2% stake for 1,435 crore rupees, according to Business Standard. The sale details showed that YC Holdings II sold 7,46,87,500 shares, reducing its stake in the company to 7.44% from 8.63%. Y Combinator had also sold a 1.45% stake in May for 1,642 crore rupees in an open-market transaction. The November sale is part of a series of partial exits disclosed by the investor during the year.

The initial public offering prospectus said YC Holdings II was among the selling shareholders in the offering, with a maximum of 105,481,609 shares on offer. Peak XV Partners Investments V also offered up to 158,281,491 shares for sale under the prospectus dated November 7, 2025. In the company’s results, Groww reported consolidated operating revenue of 1,501.53 crore rupees in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared with 1,018.74 crore in the same quarter a year earlier. Consolidated net profit was 724.70 crore rupees in the quarter, compared with 471.34 crore. For the six months ended September 30, 2026, consolidated operating revenue was 3,002.95 crore rupees, compared with 1,923.14 crore in the corresponding period of 2025.
