360 ONE Allots UBS Shares Representing 4.8% Stake After Warrant Conversion
Key Facts
360 ONE WAM said on October 22, 2026, that it had allotted 20,502,939 ordinary shares to UBS, representing an approximately 4.8% stake in the company, according to a 360 ONE statement. The allotment completes the conversion of all warrants allotted to the Swiss bank, after payment of the remaining exercise price. The company said the warrants were granted on a preferential basis on July 21, 2025, and UBS paid 25% of the exercise price at allotment. The remaining 75% was paid when the bank converted the warrants into shares. The move places UBS's stake in the company within a broader strategic partnership between the two institutions, announced more than a year before the conversion was completed.
According to Financial Express, the company's paid-up capital rose to 42.84 crore rupees from 40.79 crore rupees after the share allotment. The change reflects the addition of the new shares to issued, subscribed and paid-up capital, while the allotted stake represents approximately 4.8% of the company, according to its statement. These figures distinguish the transaction's effect on the capital structure from the share's market movement. 360 ONE shares rose about 1.5% to 1,053 rupees during trading on Thursday, October 22, according to Reuters coverage carried by Economic Times. That figure describes the share's movement during trading, not the session close.
360 ONE and UBS announced their exclusive strategic partnership on April 22, 2025, according to the company's statement. The agreement included making wealth management solutions available to both institutions' clients in India and abroad, as well as exploring opportunities in asset management and investment banking. 360 ONE also said when announcing the partnership that it would acquire UBS's wealth management business in India through its subsidiaries. UBS, in turn, was to purchase warrants representing a 4.95% stake in 360 ONE, the percentage stated in the agreement when it was announced. The current share allotment follows conversion of those warrants, turning the planned contribution through warrants into shares in the company.
The Indian company presents the scale of its business as part of the partnership's backdrop, saying it manages assets of more than about 9 lakh crore rupees and serves more than 9,000 families and companies. In its statement, it also said UBS managed $7.3 trillion in invested assets in the second quarter of 2026. These figures place the two institutions in the context of a partnership combining wealth management and asset management, the areas announced by both sides. In 360 ONE's results, net profit after tax was 1,015 crore rupees in the financial year ended March 2025, up 26.6% year on year from 802 crore rupees in the previous year. EL7 published a story on October 15 about the company's second-quarter fiscal 2027 profit growth, a week before the share allotment was announced.
