The iShares Ethereum Trust ETF, known by the ticker ETHA, recorded net outflows of $1.4205 billion in October 2026, according to a compilation of daily flows reported by KriptoMeta based on data from Farside Investors. US-listed Ether funds ended the month with net outflows of $1.6072 billion. ETHA accounted for the largest share among the products, with its outflows making up most of the net outflows recorded by US funds during the month. The figures show net money movements across the funds, but do not identify investors, their trading motives or where the money went after leaving. Flow data alone therefore is not enough to conclude that the outflows reflect weaker institutional demand or profit-taking.

Outflows were concentrated toward the end of the month, with US Ether funds recording a combined $431.4 million between October 26 and 30. In the October 30 session alone, the funds recorded total outflows of $155.7 million, including $76.6 million from ETHA. Outflows in the same session also extended to ETHB, FETH, MSSE, ETHE and Grayscale ETH. These products recorded outflows of $19.5 million, $3.3 million, $0.7 million, $21.5 million and $34.1 million, respectively. The session figures show that outflow pressure extended across several funds, with ETHA remaining the largest individual source of outflows among them.

Over the month, the funds recorded net outflows in 19 of 22 trading sessions, compared with inflows in three sessions. Monthly results varied by product: Fidelity’s fund, known by the ticker FETH, attracted net inflows of $36 million. By contrast, ETHA recorded outflows of $1.4205 billion, while Grayscale’s ETHE and ETH funds ended the month with outflows of $119.1 million and $23.8 million, respectively. The divergence shows that flows were not uniform across Ether-linked funds. The data do not reveal why the funds moved differently or which investors shifted money between them.

ETHA aims to reflect the price performance of Ether and offers exposure to the cryptocurrency through a traditional brokerage account without investors having to manage direct custody, according to BlackRock iShares’ description of the fund. The fund’s filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission states that its assets consist primarily of Ether held by a custodian on its behalf. On October 6, 2026, the fund carried out a one-for-three reverse share split. This reduced the number of shares and increased net asset value per share without changing the fund’s total asset value, apart from cash paid in lieu of fractional shares. Net asset value on October 5 was $9,936,484,252.17, and net asset value per share was $20.43 before the split, equivalent to $61.30 after accounting for it.

BlackRock said ETHA shares would begin trading on a split-adjusted basis after the split on October 6, 2026. The filing explains the effect of adjusting the number of shares and the value per share, noting that the split did not change shareholders’ proportional interests or the fund’s total asset value, except for amounts related to cash settlement of fractional shares. Monthly outflows of $1.4205 billion remain a separate measure from the share adjustment, as the filing states that the split did not change the fund’s total assets. Flow data do not provide a breakdown linking the outflows to the split or identify investors’ trading motives. According to the published figures, October ended with outflows from ETHA and US Ether funds overall, alongside inflows into FETH.
