WisdomTree posts record $171 billion in assets as shares fall 3.90%
Key Facts
WisdomTree reported on October 30, 2026, results for the third quarter ended September 30, with assets under management of $171.0 billion, up 5.0% from the previous quarter. In the same session, the stock closed at $20.710, down 3.90% from its previous close of $21.550 on October 29. The figures put asset and flow growth alongside a share-price decline on the day of the announcement. Chief Executive Jonathan Steinberg said the company continues to grow through its global platform, citing record assets and inflows. Steinberg linked the performance to contributions across the global platform and operating discipline.
Net inflows totaled $4.6 billion during the quarter, spread across the United States and Europe. The company said flows were concentrated mainly in fixed income, commodities and U.S. equity products. Assets under management rose at quarter-end with contributions from inflows and higher markets, according to the company’s filing. Assets had reached $162.9 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2026, after a 6.7% increase from the previous quarter. The new figure reflects continued growth in the asset base during the third quarter, with contributions from both flows and market performance.
In the first nine months of 2026, net inflows exceeded $13.6 billion, while the annualized organic growth rate was 13%. These figures show that third-quarter flows were part of a strong cumulative total since the start of the year. Operating revenues totaled $179.4 million in the quarter, up 1.3% from the previous quarter. WisdomTree attributed the increase to higher average assets under management, partly offset by lower transaction fees on its European exchange-traded products and performance fees. Operating revenues rose 49.0% year over year in the first nine months, supported by higher average assets and average advisory fees, as well as revenue from the acquisitions of Ceres and Atlantic House.
Net income was $49.2 million in the third quarter, compared with $19.7 million in the same period of 2025, while adjusted net income reached $49.5 million. Diluted earnings per share were $0.32, compared with $0.13 in the third quarter of last year. Adjusted earnings per share were also $0.32, compared with $0.23 in the year-earlier period. The figures distinguish accounting net income from the adjusted figure, which excludes the company’s adjustments. In the third quarter, the operating margin was 41.3%, while the adjusted margin was 43.1%; the adjusted margin rose 0.5 percentage points from the previous quarter, a level the company did not describe as a record.
For the first nine months, the operating margin was 39.8% and the adjusted margin was 41.8%, up 6.8 percentage points year over year for the operating margin and 7.5 points for the adjusted margin. The company attributed the improvement mainly to positive operating leverage from revenue growth. It said, however, that higher amortization of intangible assets related to the acquisitions of Ceres Partners and Atlantic House partly limited margin expansion. This explanation puts revenue growth at the heart of improved operating profitability, with acquisition costs remaining a countervailing factor. Steinberg said organic flows and operating discipline support operating leverage and margin expansion.
WisdomTree declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.03 per share. The dividend will be paid on November 25, 2026, to shareholders of record as of the close of November 11. The announcement was part of the third-quarter results, alongside growth in assets, flows, revenues and earnings. The record date determines which shareholders are entitled to the dividend, while November 25 is the payment date. The dividend was the main shareholder action announced in the results filing.
