Lodha’s Q2 2027 profit rises 28% to 1,013 crore rupees
Key Facts
Lodha Developers reported net profit after tax of 1,013 crore rupees in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, compared with 1,013 crore rupees in the same period a year earlier, according to the reported quarterly results. Revenue from operations rose 17.6% to 4,468 crore rupees from 3,798 crore rupees a year earlier. Net profit margin was 22.1%, compared with 20.4% in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2026. But profit after tax fell from the first quarter, when it was 1,373 crore rupees. The results place the quarter within a stronger first-half growth trajectory, which management cited as the basis for its full-year outlook.
For the first half of fiscal 2027, consolidated net profit after tax rose 63% to 2,386 crore rupees from 1,465 crore rupees in the corresponding period. Revenue from operations increased nearly 30% to 9,464 crore rupees, compared with 7,290 crore rupees a year earlier. Profit growth outpaced revenue growth over the period, alongside an increase in the second-quarter profit margin. Abhishek Lodha said the company expects to "comfortably exceed" its fiscal 2027 profit guidance. He linked his outlook to strong first-half performance, without directly attributing quarterly profit growth to expansion or any specific operating factor.
For the second half, the company launched another project in north Bengaluru and is preparing to launch a project in the National Capital Region during the festive season. The moves form part of expansion plans the company has cited to support second-half sales. Pre-sales differ from the revenue from operations recorded by the company; they are not the same figure in the financial results. These figures provide context for management's expectation of exceeding its profit guidance, alongside first-half growth in profit and revenue from operations.
In trading, the stock rose nearly 5% to an intraday high of 1,202.50 rupees on July 27, 2026, after the first-quarter results were announced. That move came before the second-quarter results and therefore does not represent the market's reaction to the figures reported here. An intraday level alone also does not show how the stock performed after the current results were announced. The focus of the company's fiscal 2027 outlook remains its first-half performance, according to Abhishek Lodha. The announced expansion includes the Bengaluru project already launched and a planned launch in the National Capital Region during the festive season.
