Strive bought 6,182 bitcoin between October 17 and 23, 2026, at an average price of about $82,732 per coin, including fees and expenses, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The purchase lifted its holdings to 43,000 bitcoin on October 23, compared with 36,818 on October 16. The increase coincided with the company’s cash and cash equivalents rising from $317.5 million to $504.4 million over the same period, an increase of $186.9 million. The purchase filing did not identify the source of funding. In a separate filing, Strategy said it neither bought nor sold bitcoin between October 19 and 25, a period different from Strive’s purchase window.

Strive’s filing data show that the week’s purchases increased its bitcoin balance by about one-sixth from its level on October 16, while cash liquidity rose in parallel. The filing does not link the cash increase to the source of funding for the bitcoin purchase, so it does not specify whether the transaction was funded from existing cash or through a securities issuance. But on October 26, the company announced an at-the-market program to sell up to $1 billion of its SATS preferred stock. The program allows preferred shares to be sold in the market up to the stated limit, while the filing does not say that its proceeds funded purchases made from October 17 to 23. The company’s announcement thus combines a substantial increase in its holdings with access to a new financing program, without establishing a direct link between the two.

On the other side of the comparison, Strategy said it did not sell shares under its at-the-market offering program and did not buy or sell bitcoin between October 19 and 25. During the same period, the company repurchased 2,068,459 shares of STRC, its preferred stock, for $204.9 million. No purchases to repurchase its common MSTR shares were recorded in the period’s table. Strategy said it used $204.9 million from its USD Cash balance to fund the STRC repurchases, while its USD Reserve balance was about $4.83 billion and its USD Cash balance about $242.4 million on October 25. The company earmarked USD Reserve to support dividends on its preferred stock and interest on outstanding debt, while USD Cash may be used for general treasury purposes, including buying bitcoin, expanding the reserve and managing capital.

Strategy held about 848,517 bitcoin on October 25, according to its filing, at a total purchase cost of $64.02 billion and an average acquisition price of about $75,446 per coin, including fees and expenses. That places the STRC repurchase in the context of a large digital-asset reserve, with the company directing the cash used during the reported week to preferred stock rather than adding bitcoin. Strive had said in its second-quarter results that it bought 6,236 bitcoin during the quarter ended June 30 and 12,237 in the first half of the year. It said its bitcoin yield was 23.9% for the quarter and 37.7% for the first half. Chairman and Chief Executive Matthew Cole also said the company "stands with no debt, margin requirements or bitcoin pledged," describing its balance sheet as prepared to handle bitcoin volatility.

In results published in August, Strive said it bought an additional 303 bitcoin between July 1 and August 7, and that its cash and cash equivalents totaled $154.9 million on August 7. The increase in that balance to $504.4 million on October 23 reflects a change over the subsequent period, based on figures in the two filings, without a statement specifying the sources or detailed uses of the increase. In markets, bitcoin closed at $80,150.56 on October 26, after closing at $83,028.15 on October 20. Strive shares, listed under the ticker ASST, closed at $26.32 on October 26, while Strategy shares, listed under the ticker MSTR, closed at $139.82 the same day, according to EL7 data. These closing prices show market levels on the disclosure date; the figures do not provide a share-price comparison with the start of the purchase and pause periods.
