Strive said on Oct. 26 that it bought 6,182 bitcoin from Oct. 17 to 23 at an average price of about $82,732 per coin, including fees and expenses. The purchase raised its balance to 43,000 bitcoin on Oct. 23, from 36,818 on Oct. 16, according to the company’s filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The increase in the balance matches the quantity of purchases reported for the period. The announcement followed an earlier disclosure on Oct. 21 that it had bought 4,045 bitcoin from Oct. 12 to 16 at an average of $82,803 per coin. Before that, the company said on Oct. 13 that it had bought 3,311 bitcoin from Oct. 5 to 9 at an average of $84,500. The disclosures show three consecutive weeks of purchases, with the total quantity reported in the latest period higher than in the previous two periods.

Alongside the increase in its bitcoin balance, Strive’s cash and cash equivalents rose from $317.5 million on Oct. 16 to $504.4 million on Oct. 23, an increase of $186.9 million, according to the disclosure table. The fair value of the company’s STRC preferred shares also rose from $49.349 million to $50.177 million over the same dates, while the number of shares remained at 505,000. The figures also show an increase in actual common shares outstanding from 124,064,126 to 127,328,346 between Oct. 16 and 23. This measure includes outstanding shares and shares sold by 4:00 p.m. Eastern time that are scheduled to be issued on the next business day. The changes in cash and shares coincided with the bitcoin purchases, but the disclosure does not identify the source of funding for the purchases.

The announcement came as Strive closed an upsized offering of its SATA preferred shares on Oct. 20, after issuing 7,000,000 shares at a public offering price of $90 per share, according to a company statement. The shares carry cumulative annual dividends of 15.00% on a stated value of $100 per share. Periodic dividend dates are scheduled for every business day beginning Nov. 9, 2026, subject to a declaration by the board of directors. Chief Executive Matt Cole said the upsized offering “represents an important milestone in our strategy to maximize long-term total returns for common shareholders.” The company also linked the instrument to its capital amplification ratio, which it defined as preferred shares plus debt divided by the value of bitcoin held. It said the SATA issuance increases this ratio and adds capital junior to SATA, explaining that the financing structure relates to the level of preferred capital and debt relative to the value of its bitcoin holdings.

Before the expansion of October purchases, Strive announced expected proceeds from the exercise of traditional warrants on Oct. 12 and 13. The company estimated total proceeds of about $369.2 million after investors exercised warrants covering 13,674,703 shares, according to its disclosure cited by The Block. That provides earlier financing context for the latest purchase period, without the disclosure specifying that these proceeds funded the purchase of 6,182 bitcoin. The company describes itself as a structured finance company and says it has adopted bitcoin as a benchmark for evaluating capital deployment. Strive linked this approach to its fiduciary duty to maximize long-term shareholder value. The stated approach places bitcoin holdings within the company’s capital allocation strategy, while its weekly disclosures have continued to specify the quantity purchased and average price for each period.

Market prices moved during the purchase period, according to EL7 data, though those closing prices do not measure the market’s response to the Oct. 26 announcement. Strive shares closed at $25.54 on Oct. 19 and then at $28.97 on Oct. 23. On the same dates, bitcoin closed at $81,938.40 and $81,189.43, respectively. The next relevant dates relate to SATA’s terms: periodic dividend dates begin on Nov. 9, 2026, on business days and subject to a declaration by the board of directors. The published bitcoin balance remains 43,000 units as of Oct. 23, the latest figure the company reported in its weekly disclosure.
