Trustmark Revenue Reaches $207.1 Million in Third Quarter of 2026
Key Facts
Trustmark reported revenue of $207.1 million in the third quarter of 2026, down 0.5% from the previous quarter and up 2.4% from the same period last year. The quarterly decline came as noninterest income fell, partly offset by growth in interest income, according to the company’s earnings release. Trustmark had previously said its quarterly results would be released after the market close on October 27. The company scheduled a call with analysts for the following morning to discuss the results. The figures combine annual revenue growth with a limited quarterly decline.
Net interest income, on a fully tax-equivalent basis, was $170.6 million in the third quarter, up 1.2% from the previous quarter and 3.2% from the same period last year. The company said its net interest margin was 3.84%, unchanged from the second quarter. This reflects higher interest income during the period with no quarterly change in the margin. Growth in interest income partly offset the decline in overall revenue quarter over quarter. Trustmark said interest income was “$170.6 million, up 1.2% quarter over quarter and 3.2% year over year,” and that net interest margin “was 3.84%, unchanged from the previous quarter.”
Second-quarter results provide context for the year-over-year earnings comparison: Trustmark reported net income of $63.5 million and diluted earnings per share of $1.08 in the second quarter of 2026. In the same period of 2025, net income was $55.8 million and diluted earnings per share were $0.92, according to the company’s filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The comparison shows increases in net income and earnings per share between the two second quarters. The company also said total deposits reached $16.071 billion on June 30, 2026. That was an increase of $571.4 million, or 3.7%, compared with the end of 2025.
The company continued returning capital to shareholders through share repurchases in the third quarter. It repurchased $20.1 million of common stock, or about 428 thousand shares, during the period. Repurchases in the first nine months of 2026 totaled $60.9 million, or about 1.4 million shares. Trustmark said total purchases during the nine months included third-quarter repurchases. The company’s shares closed at $46.22 on October 26, according to EL7 data.
The company had announced that the analyst call would take place on October 28 at 8:30 a.m. Central Time. It said a replay would remain available through November 11. The scheduled call offers a chance to follow management’s discussion of the results after their release on October 27. The call comes after the results announcement, contrary to the schedule announced before their release. The company provided no further details about the call’s agenda in its notice.
