Sunteck Realty Profit Rises 17% to Rs 57 Crore in Second Quarter
Key Facts
Sunteck Realty reported a 17% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 57 crore in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, compared with Rs 49 crore in the same period a year earlier. Revenue grew 27% to Rs 321 crore from Rs 252 crore, according to The Economic Times’ coverage of the company’s results. The figures came as pre-sales and collections rose in the quarter ended September 2026. But profit and revenue growth were accompanied by a decline in the EBITDA margin, presenting a more mixed picture of operating profitability. The board met to consider the second-quarter and first-half results on 26 October 2026.
EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, rose 13% to Rs 89 crore from Rs 78 crore a year earlier. However, its margin fell to 28% from 31% in the year-earlier quarter, while the post-tax profit margin was 18%. The comparison shows that EBITDA growth lagged revenue growth of 27%, alongside the year-on-year margin contraction. For the first half of fiscal 2027, net profit rose 20% to Rs 99 crore and revenue increased 16% to Rs 512 crore. First-half EBITDA also climbed 23% to Rs 156 crore, compared with Rs 127 crore in the corresponding period.
Business activity indicators moved alongside the financial results, with pre-sales in the September quarter rising 17% to Rs 824 crore from Rs 702 crore a year earlier. Quarterly collections increased 12% to Rs 371 crore. From April to September, pre-sales totalled Rs 1,611 crore, up 19% year on year, while collections rose 14% to Rs 780 crore. Collections provide an indication of the funds the company received during the period, alongside the value of sales it reported. In the first quarter of fiscal 2027, the company posted consolidated revenue of Rs 191.56 crore, up 1.72% year on year, and net profit of Rs 41.96 crore, up 25.52%.
Net operating cash flow surplus stood at Rs 347 crore in the first half, up 27% year on year, despite the company investing Rs 391 crore in business development. The coverage said about 90% of that investment was funded by operating cash flows. This places investment in new business alongside the company’s ability to generate cash from its operations during the period, with the figures relating to the first half of fiscal 2027. In a move to expand its land portfolio, the company acquired a plot in Borivali, western Mumbai, through an outright purchase during the quarter. The acquisition raised its combined holding at the site to about 11.5 acres.
The company’s projects have a gross development value of about Rs 46,900 crore, according to figures in the results coverage. The total includes launched projects with a development value of Rs 7,700 crore and projects yet to be launched valued at Rs 13,900 crore. The planned launch pipeline for fiscal 2027 is worth about Rs 7,000 crore, excluding Dubai. Planned launches in the second half include Sunteck Belvedere Park in Mira Road and a project in Andheri. The company is scheduled to discuss its second-quarter and first-half results and business updates on an earnings call on 27 October 2026 at 4:00 p.m. India time.
In trading on 26 October, Sunteck Realty shares closed at Rs 273.85, up 1.20% during the session. The stock traded between Rs 258.50 and Rs 276, according to Investing.com India data. The close came on the same day the board met to consider the financial results. The earnings call the following day will give the company an opportunity to present updates on its second-quarter and first-half results and business plans. The announced launch pipeline for the second half places Mira Road and Andheri among the projects the company said it plans to launch during the fiscal year.
