Central Asia Metals PLC announced that its production operations are on track to meet full-year guidance following a significant increase in zinc and lead output during the third quarter. Proactive Investors reported that zinc production at the Sasa mine rose 18% to 4,968 tonnes, while lead production increased by 21% to 7,255 tonnes during the same period.
The strong operational performance was driven by higher head grades at the mine, with zinc grades up 17% and lead grades 16% higher year-on-year. The company also benefited from higher realized metal prices, with the average received copper price rising 43% to $14,218 per tonne and zinc increasing 34% to $3,841 per tonne.
