According to a statement carried by PR Newswire, the parties agreed to settle and mutually release all pending legal proceedings, while Micron secured a five-year license to Netlist's patent portfolio, covering server DIMMs and High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) technologies.

Under the terms of the deal, Micron will pay Netlist $30 million per quarter starting from the fourth quarter of 2026 through the third quarter of 2031, totaling $600 million over the term. Regarding market performance, NLST closed at $5.65 on October 5, 2026, and MU closed at $1063.96 on the same date, as the settlement provides legal certainty and a structured royalty framework for both semiconductor firms.
