Etisalat launched a strategic project to increase international digital connectivity capacity to over 500 Tbit/s by 2030. PRNewswire reported that His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Chairman of the Emirates Investment Authority, witnessed the launch of the project designed to strengthen digital infrastructure in preparation for accelerating AI demands.

The expansion represents a more than 25-fold increase over the company's current capacity, as the group seeks to serve global cloud providers and AI campuses. This move coincides with the company's 50th anniversary celebrations and its vision to transition into an AI-powered telecommunications leader to drive economic growth and national competitiveness.
