The dollar-pegged stablecoin OUSD launched with five partners pledging more than $1 billion in liquidity. TokenPost reported that the new asset is designed to support payments, settlement, and foreign exchange, allowing businesses to mint or redeem the token at a 1-to-1 ratio with the U.S. dollar without fees.

OUSD operates natively across the Base, Ethereum, Solana, and Tempo networks to facilitate multi-chain interoperability. The initiative aims to drive stablecoin adoption for cross-border transactions and card services, with plans to publish monthly proof-of-reserves updates as the network expands beyond its initial founding partners.
