Aztec Labs Relaunches zk.money Wallet to Enhance Transaction Privacy on Ethereum
Key Facts
Aztec Labs has relaunched the zk.money wallet after a three-year hiatus to provide private payment solutions on Ethereum's Layer 2. CoinDesk reported that the wallet utilizes zero-knowledge proof technology to obfuscate transaction details on the Aztec Network, while maintaining visibility for initial deposits originating from the Ethereum mainnet.
The wallet enables users to deposit stablecoins including DAI, USDC, and USDT, which are converted into DAI within the system to ensure privacy. Joe Andrews, CEO of Aztec Labs, told CoinDesk that transaction limits are currently capped at $2,500 per deposit or withdrawal, with a collective daily deposit limit of $50,000 for all users, citing the experimental nature of the current cryptography.
