The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the listing and trading of the Bitwise NEAR ETF on NYSE Arca under the ticker symbol NRR. CoinGape reported that the fund, which represents the first spot exchange-traded product linked to Near Protocol, will carry a management fee of 0.75% and intends to stake 100% of its NEAR token holdings.
NEAR prices surged 20% to reach $5 following the approval news, while NEAR futures open interest climbed 15% to $1.49 billion. According to registration filings, Bitwise is expected to purchase 20,000 initial shares for $500,000, as the protocol's Total Value Locked (TVL) surpassed $210 million.
