Arbe-Hirain Radar Selected for China Level 3 Program; Q4 2027 Deliveries Targeted

Key Facts

1The companies said Hirain's Arbe-powered radar was selected for a Level 3 passenger-vehicle program in China spanning multiple brands.
2Series-production radar deliveries are targeted to begin in Q4 2027, ahead of vehicle production.
3The customer, program value, unit volumes and expected revenue were not disclosed.

Arbe Robotics and Hirain Technologies said on September 8, 2026 that an unnamed global automotive group selected Hirain's imaging radar, powered by Arbe's ultra-high-resolution chipset, for a Level 3 passenger-vehicle program in China spanning multiple brands.

Hirain will manufacture, supply and integrate the complete radar system and lead system development, validation and quality. Arbe will provide the chipset and core technology that generate radar data for the vehicle's central automated-driving platform.

Hirain is targeting the start of series-production radar deliveries in Q4 2027, ahead of vehicle production. The timetable is forward-looking: Arbe's filing warns that the program may not reach production on schedule or that orders may not be placed with the company.

Under the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's classification, Level 3 means the system handles all aspects of the driving task when engaged, while the driver must remain available to take control when requested.

Arbe and Hirain did not identify the automotive group or disclose the program's value, unit volumes or expected revenue. The selection therefore establishes a path toward production but does not yet provide a quantitative basis for estimating the financial impact on Arbe.

The next important checkpoints for investors are actual purchase orders, adherence to the Q4 2027 delivery target and the start of vehicle production. Until those steps occur, the announcement represents a potential commercial milestone rather than evidence by itself of realized sales.
