Bubs gets permanent FDA authorization for 3 U.S. infant formulas

Key Facts

1The permanent authorization covers 3 products: Bubs Goat, Bubs 365 Day Grass Fed and Bubs Essential.
2Bubs submitted filings for the 3 products by July 15, 2025, under the FDA transition pathway.
3The company says it is represented in more than 10,000 U.S. stores and will discuss its strategy at a webinar on September 10, 2026.

Bubs Australia said on September 7, 2026, that it received permanent U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorization for 3 infant-formula products: Bubs Goat, Bubs 365 Day Grass Fed and Bubs Essential.

The company said the authorization confirms that the products, manufacturing systems and supporting scientific evidence meet U.S. requirements for safety, nutritional adequacy and quality. The FDA currently lists all 3 products among infant formulas marketed in the United States.

The decision follows a transition process that began in 2022, when the FDA allowed certain international manufacturers to continue marketing products under enforcement discretion while working toward permanent compliance. The FDA says Bubs submitted filings for the 3 products by the July 15, 2025 deadline.

On June 16, 2025, Bubs said its New Infant Formula Submission covered all 3 products and that it was then operating through the enforcement-discretion pathway. The company also said its U.S. clinical study enrolled 478 infants over 16 months before the regulatory data were submitted.

Permanent authorization reduces the risk associated with relying on a transitional arrangement, but it does not guarantee sales or revenue growth. The financial effect will depend on demand, retailer distribution, marketing and production costs, and the company’s ability to convert its regulatory status into profitable sales.

Bubs said it is already represented in more than 10,000 U.S. stores and that the authorization could support portfolio expansion and an evaluation of private-label opportunities. It stressed that any such expansion remains subject to further regulatory, technical and commercial milestones, with its U.S. strategy due to be discussed at an investor webinar on September 10, 2026.
