The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has officially announced the listing of Morgan Stanley’s spot Bitcoin ETF, set to trade under the ticker MSBT. Specifically, NYSE Arca greenlit Morgan Stanley's application on Wednesday, marking a critical step toward the fund's active trading. A formal filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has since confirmed the certification for the listing and registration of Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust shares. This development makes Morgan Stanley the first major U.S. bank to launch its own Bitcoin-focused exchange-traded fund. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas characterized the launch as "imminent" following these formal regulatory milestones and certifications. The fund is designed to provide investors with direct exposure to Bitcoin through traditional brokerage accounts, potentially unlocking significant capital from the bank’s vast client base.
