The ADP Employment Change is a measure of the non-farm private sector employment growth based on payroll data. It is released two days ahead of the official government employment report and serves as a significant preview of the Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) data. It provides an early look at labor market trends excluding the public sector.
The data is compiled by the ADP Research Institute using actual payroll records from over 25 million U.S. workers across various industries.
