This indicator measures the year-over-year change in the average gross monthly wages and salaries in the enterprise sector in Poland. It covers companies with more than nine employees and serves as a key metric for labor market tightness and consumer purchasing power. High wage growth can signal future inflationary pressure, as businesses may raise prices to cover increased labor costs.
The data is collected through monthly reports from enterprises. The average wage is calculated by dividing the total gross wages by the average number of employees in the given period.
