The Annualized GDP Growth measures the seasonally adjusted change in the market value of all goods and services produced by the economy, projected over a full year. It is the primary indicator of economic health and serves as the broadest measure of economic activity. A higher-than-expected reading is typically seen as bullish for the currency, while a lower reading is bearish.
It is calculated by taking the quarterly percentage change in real GDP and compounding it to show the growth rate if that pace were maintained for four consecutive quarters.
