Oracle and Adobe report quarterly results on the same evening, after the close on 10 September 2026, entering the night through opposite doors: Oracle shares rose 14.4% in the five sessions preceding the report, their largest pre-report gain among its last nine reports, while Adobe shares fell 10.9% in the same sessions following the announcement of its CEO succession. We assessed the two names using EL7's factor scoring model, which knows nothing of the week's headlines, and the ranking was reversed: Adobe at 96.5, ranked ninth among 358 companies in its industry, and Oracle at 38.6, ranked 75 among 179. We then reviewed eight prior reports for each company to see what the shares do when results beat estimates — and the answer does not resemble what options are pricing.
