The Reserve Bank of New Zealand, the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve, the Bank of Japan and the Reserve Bank of Australia raised rates between 2 and 29 September, and none of the eight major central banks has cut since 18 December 2025. We compared this wave with the peak of 2022 in EL7’s decision records, examined what the Federal Reserve actually wrote about its path, what prediction markets are pricing, and how each bank’s tone has changed, ahead of seven decisions over nine days between 28 October and 5 November.
