SpaceX is in talks with EchoStar to buy Boost Mobile or gain access to its network arrangements. Boost Mobile currently leases its network from AT&T, and a deal could let SpaceX use that network. Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have reportedly rebuffed Elon Musk’s efforts to access their networks. SpaceX is considering building its own terrestrial network and buying available spectrum to become a major U.S. wireless carrier; analysts have also cited proposals for a Tesla–SpaceX merger amid current regulatory moves.
