A DTCC unit has launched tokenization services to drive the adoption of digital securities through a practical path. The service went live on October 29, featuring an initial selection of 34 securities. Currently, 20 major Wall Street firms, including Citi, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley, are participating in the initiative.
The service links entitlements to securities held at DTC with blockchain networks under a 3-year mandate covering specified asset classes.
