The US House Financial Services Committee has voted to advance the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve bill, now titled the American Reserve Modernization Act of 2026 (H.R. 8957). Despite this legislative step forward, the probability of the proposal becoming law by 2027 has plummeted. Current estimates place the odds of passage at just 6%, a significant decrease from the 60% peak seen in December.
