On September 6, the Liquid Network Bitcoin sidechain paused its operations following a security breach involving the unauthorized withdrawal of $320 million worth of BTC. Consequently, cryptocurrency exchanges have suspended all LBTC deposits and withdrawals. Blockstream is currently attempting to contact those responsible for the withdrawal to address the incident.
