The POWER1 study evaluating the efficacy of vormatrigine in patients with focal onset seizures failed to meet its primary success measure. As a result, Praxis has paused enrollment in the POWER2 study to reassess the vormatrigine program and determine potential modifications. However, higher doses (30 mg) showed a more pronounced reduction in seizures, and the drug was generally well-tolerated.
