On May 21, Infleqtion signed a Letter of Intent with the U.S. Department of Commerce for $100 million in proposed funding. On the same day, D-Wave Quantum announced a Letter of Intent for $100 million in funding under the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act. On May 22, the U.S. Commerce Department awarded $2 billion to several quantum computing firms, including nine quantum firms, among them IBM.
