AB Science reported positive long-term survival data for masitinib treatment in ALS patients. The study showed a 5-year survival rate of 42.3%, representing a two-fold improvement over historical benchmarks. Additionally, 49% of long-term survivors maintained a satisfactory quality of life without the need for mechanical assistance. The median overall survival observed in masitinib-treated survivors was 121 months, compared to 42 months predicted by the ENCALS model.
