The STORM-PE trial data showed that computer-assisted vacuum thrombectomy (CAVT) combined with anticoagulation resulted in significantly better functional outcomes compared to anticoagulation alone. After 90 days, patients treated with CAVT achieved greater walking distances and a higher proportion reached NYHA Class I (no physical limitations).
