On April 7, Antares' Mark-0 reactor received the first-ever approval from the U.S. Department of Energy for a Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) under the new DOE-STD-1271 standard. This approval is considered equivalent to a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license. BWXT is also completing TRISO fuel fabrication for the pilot, with a planned criticality date before July 4.
