Frontken’s net profit rose 25% to RM57.3 million in the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, compared with RM45.8 million in the same period a year earlier, according to The Edge Malaysia. Revenue increased 12% to RM181 million from RM161.9 million, with higher contributions from subsidiaries in Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore. The results show growth in quarterly profit and revenue, with business drivers varying across the markets where the group operates. By contrast, the stock fell during the Nov. 6 session, the day the report published the results. The quarterly figures form part of stronger cumulative performance in the first nine months of the year.

Malaysian operations grew 18% in the third quarter, mainly driven by higher sales from supply-related activities in the oil and gas business, the report said. Singapore’s unit benefited from higher semiconductor volumes, while the company’s Taiwan subsidiary grew 11%. The company attributed Taiwan’s growth to strong semiconductor demand and increased customer orders there. Contributions from the subsidiaries therefore combined semiconductor activity in Singapore and Taiwan with oil and gas-related supply sales in Malaysia. The report said quarterly revenue benefited overall from higher contributions by subsidiaries in all three markets.

In the first nine months of 2026, net profit rose 33% to RM147.3 million from RM110.4 million in the corresponding period, according to The Edge Malaysia. Cumulative revenue increased 24% to RM557.8 million, compared with RM450.9 million a year earlier. This reflects stronger growth in the year-to-date period than the profit and revenue growth rates recorded in the third quarter alone. In the second quarter, net profit had risen 43% to RM47.72 million, while revenue increased 20% to RM186.91 million. The company said at the time that the stronger ringgit reduced revenue translated from Taiwan.

In the first half of 2026, net profit rose about 40% to RM90.1 million, and revenue increased 30% to RM376.72 million, according to the earlier report on second-quarter results. Revenue growth at the time came as total income from Malaysian subsidiaries more than doubled, driven by higher sales from supply activities in the oil and gas business. Frontken also said before announcing its second-quarter results that semiconductor volumes had increased on strong demand and an improved product mix among its Taiwan customers. It said then that oil and gas activity improved after the Lunar New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays. In its review of those results, the company said it remained optimistic about the semiconductor industry’s prospects, despite customers’ caution in capital spending.

Frontken shares fell 14 sen, or 2.88%, to RM4.72 at the midday break on Nov. 6, putting the group’s market value at RM8.6 billion at the time, according to the report. The price describes the stock’s movement at the midday break on that date, not its closing price. The board did not declare a dividend for the third quarter covered by the report. The share decline came in the same session in which the report cited growth in quarterly net profit and revenue. The available information in the report offered no explanation for the share price movement.

Frontken expects activity in the semiconductor sector to remain strong, citing structural demand linked to artificial intelligence, including agentic and generative applications, high-performance computing, automotive electronics and advanced manufacturing. The company said it is strengthening its operating capabilities and selectively expanding production capacity to capture growth opportunities. It added that it is working to strengthen supply chain collaboration and customer relationships. In the oil and gas sector, it said it was cautiously optimistic about the remainder of 2026, with demand for engineering, maintenance and asset support services continuing. These expectations represent the company’s outlook for the coming period as reported by The Edge Malaysia.
