TBC Bank Group PLC said record third-quarter profit reached 404 million lari, up 10% year on year, according to Chief Executive Vakhtang Butskhrikidze in the results announcement issued on 6 November 2026. The results reflect the group’s continued strong performance during the quarter, while Butskhrikidze said the profits generated and the strength of its capital position allow it to continue returning capital to shareholders. The period’s data showed operating income of 960.611 million lari, up 9.7% from the same quarter a year earlier. Net interest income also rose 12.6% year on year to 700.172 million lari. The results combine growth in operating income and net interest income with the announcement of new shareholder distributions.

Butskhrikidze said: "I am pleased to announce that the group delivered a strong third quarter, with record profit of 404 million lari, up 10% year on year." The statement puts profit growth at the center of management’s account of the quarter, as the chief executive linked the strong performance to the group’s ability to continue returning capital to shareholders. The board declared a quarterly dividend of 1.75 lari per share for the third quarter. Total dividends per share for the first nine months of 2026 came to 5.25 lari, up 5% year on year. The announcement combines the quarterly dividend with total payments scheduled since the start of the year.

Under its announced financial targets for 2026–2028, the group is targeting annual loan portfolio growth of more than 15%. It also set a target for an annual return on equity of more than 23% over the same period. The group set a target range for its total payout ratio of 25% to 45%, including dividends and share buybacks. These targets provide a multi-year financial framework combining lending expansion, shareholder returns and capital-return policy. The targets therefore cover three years, beginning in 2026 and ending in 2028, rather than being limited to the final year alone.

The group operates in Georgia and Uzbekistan, according to its 2025 annual report. It began operations in Uzbekistan in 2020, making its presence in both markets part of the background to its operations. Third-quarter growth in operating income and net interest income comes from a group operating across these two markets. This geographic background provides context for assessing its loan growth and return-on-equity targets for the coming period. The published targets remain tied to 2026–2028, while the information on the start of operations in Uzbekistan dates to 2020.

The group had set 6 November 2026 as the publication date for its third-quarter and nine-month 2026 results, and announced a management call for the same day at 14:00 GMT. The announcement scheduled publication of the results for 7:00 a.m. GMT, ahead of the call set for the afternoon. The results and management discussion were therefore made available on the same date. The announced results cover the third quarter and first nine months of the year, while the published financial targets cover 2026–2028. This sequence places the performance and distribution figures in the context of the group’s multi-year targets.
