Aura Minerals Approves $0.72 per Share Dividend, Totaling $60.42 Million
Key Facts
Aura Minerals’ board approved a cash dividend of $0.72 per common share, totaling approximately $60.42 million, according to a company statement published on November 5, 2026. The company said the dividend exceeds the minimum set out in its dividend policy. The decision follows record production in the third quarter, Yahoo Finance reported, citing Aura’s statement. Production reached 95,557 gold equivalent ounces, up 27% from the previous quarter and 29% year over year. The statement’s headline said the dividend yield over the past twelve months was 4.0%, including share buybacks and BDRs under the company’s methodology.
The announced dividend policy links the quarterly amount to the potential allocation of the equivalent of 20% of adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for the relevant period, after deducting sustaining capital expenditures and exploration expenses for the same period. Aura said the current dividend is above the minimum set out in the policy. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were $236.9 million in the third quarter. The figure reached $677.4 million year to date through September. The company said the cumulative total is 24% higher than full-year 2025.
On liquidity, the company said recurring free cash flow after gold hedge settlements was $123.5 million in the third quarter. This cash flow funded $71 million in dividends and share buybacks, alongside $55 million in expansion capital spending. Aura said leverage remained steady at 0.20 times. These figures put the new dividend in the context of shareholder returns and expansion spending during the quarter. They also come alongside the production increase recorded by the company over the same period.
In the first nine months of 2026, production totaled 253,131 gold equivalent ounces, the highest nine-month level in the company’s history, according to its statement. Aura said it remains on track to meet its annual production guidance of 340,000 to 390,000 gold equivalent ounces. Second-quarter production was 75,437 gold equivalent ounces at prevailing prices, up 18% year over year, according to the company’s filing with Brazil’s securities regulator. First-half production totaled 157,574 ounces, up 27% year over year. The reported figures show production accelerating in the third quarter from the second quarter, while the full-year guidance remains in place.
The chief executive said the third quarter was the company’s strongest to date, citing record production of 95,557 gold equivalent ounces. He added that first-nine-month production, at 253,131 ounces, was the highest in Aura’s history for that period and that the company “remains on track” to meet its 2026 guidance. The guidance sets an annual range of 340,000 to 390,000 gold equivalent ounces. Management also tied its fourth-quarter outlook to higher grades at the Almas and Apoena mines. It said work at Era Dorada is progressing on schedule and on budget, and that the Almas expansion and MSG transition are moving ahead.
The dividend also covers holders of Brazilian depositary receipts, or BDRs, with a declared amount of $0.24 per receipt. The record date for shareholders is close of business on November 18, 2026. The dividend is scheduled to be paid in dollars on November 27 to eligible shareholders. For BDR holders, the company expects payment around December 8 in Brazilian reais. These dates distinguish between the shareholder record date and when funds will be transferred to each class of security holder.
In share trading, AUGO rose 12.92% and closed at $72.39 in the November 4 session, ahead of the dividend announcement. On November 5, the day of the announcement, the stock closed at $71.27, down 1.55%. The two sessions’ data show the change in the closing price from one day to the next alongside the announcement. Aura had announced record third-quarter production in its operating update before the dividend statement. The new cash dividend comes as the company continues to point to production growth and expansion spending.
