Zevra Therapeutics reported on November 3 results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, recording revenue of $34.0 million from Miplyffa. The company said in a statement published via GlobeNewswire that Olpruva revenue was $0.2 million, while it recorded net reimbursements of $3.6 million from its global expanded access program. The figures put the company’s lead drug at the top of its reported quarterly revenue sources. The company also reported net income of $19.2 million, compared with a net loss of $0.5 million in the year-earlier period. The announcement came alongside the company’s highlighting of progress in its clinical program for celiprolol.

Net income was $0.31 per basic share and $0.26 per diluted share, according to the company’s statement. In the comparable quarter, Zevra recorded a net loss of $0.5 million. The company said the quarter’s result included $5.1 million in non-cash income from fair-value adjustments to warrant liabilities and contingent value rights. It recorded a non-cash expense of $5.5 million from these adjustments in the year-earlier period. This places the revaluation component among the elements of the quarter’s result alongside reported income.

Operating expenses rose to $24.1 million in the third quarter, compared with $20.4 million a year earlier, and included $2.7 million in non-cash stock-based compensation. Research and development expenses were $4.9 million, up $1.5 million from $3.4 million in the comparable period. The company attributed the increase mainly to investment in its arimoclomol and celiprolol programs. Selling, general and administrative expenses were $19.1 million, up $2.2 million from $16.9 million a year earlier. The company linked the increase mainly to commercial and infrastructure costs.

Cash, cash equivalents and investments totaled $270.9 million on September 30, 2026, according to the company. Chief Executive Neil F. McFarlane said the company continues to build on Miplyffa’s U.S. commercial performance and advance its drug portfolio. He added that its focus includes reaching more people with Niemann-Pick disease type C and developing celiprolol to treat vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. For Miplyffa, the company received 13 prescription enrollment forms during the quarter, bringing the total since the product’s launch to 197. A total of 134 patients were enrolled in the global expanded access program as of the end of September.

In the celiprolol program, 6 patients joined the Phase 3 DISCOVER trial during the quarter, bringing total enrollment to 72, with 4 confirmed cases. Zevra said it met with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration at a Type C meeting to discuss a potential submission strategy for the drug. For arimoclomol, the company requested a re-examination of its marketing authorization application in the European Union and said it is awaiting the review’s outcome. The company’s shares closed at $10.26 in regular trading on November 3, up 1.58%, then rose 2.34% in after-hours trading to $10.50, according to data cited by Investing.com from Reuters.
