Singapore's Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) price fell by approximately $40/mt to reach around $890/mt. Engine Online reported that prices are now about $100/mt below Friday's level of $1,000/mt, marking the lowest level in several weeks for the global bunkering hub.
The decline is driven by market optimism regarding potential progress in peace talks to end the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran, which has reduced the geopolitical risk premium. While prices remain significantly higher than the $460/mt level seen a year ago, Singapore's fuel oil inventories remain constrained with lead times standing at approximately 13 days.
