2Revenue rose 12% year over year and 10% quarter over quarter, while adjusted EBITDA fell 1% year over year and rose 13% quarter over quarter.
3The insurance segment recorded revenue of $234.9 million and profit of $54.2 million in the third quarter of 2026.
4The company forecast fourth-quarter 2026 revenue of $315 million to $325 million and adjusted EBITDA of $34 million to $36 million.

LendingTree reported results on November 3 for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, with consolidated revenue of $343.6 million and a net loss of $72.4 million, or $5.15 per diluted share. The company attributed the loss to a non-cash goodwill impairment charge of $98.8 million. By contrast, revenue rose 12% from the third quarter of 2025 and 10% from the second quarter of 2026. Chief Executive Scott Peyree said the company had delivered “its tenth consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth.” He added that growth was driven by strength in insurance and growth in home, linked to results in home equity lending.

The year-over-year comparison showed that higher revenue was not matched by similar growth in adjusted EBITDA. The measure fell 1% to $39.6 million from the third quarter of 2025, while rising 13% from the second quarter of 2026. This means the improvement in revenue between the two quarters coincided with a quarterly increase in adjusted EBITDA, while the measure remained slightly below its year-earlier level. The reported net loss followed the non-cash goodwill charge cited by the company. In the third quarter of 2025, LendingTree reported revenue of $307.8 million, net income of $10.2 million and diluted earnings per share of $0.73.

Insurance was the largest segment cited in the results by revenue, generating $234.9 million, up 15% year over year. Segment profit rose 14% to $54.2 million, combining revenue growth with improved profitability in the business. Peyree said insurance strength continued to support the company’s performance, alongside growth in home. Home segment revenue was $41.5 million, up 9% from the same period a year earlier. Within the segment, revenue from home equity products rose 20% to $34.0 million; management linked those products to home growth.

The consumer segment reported revenue of $67.2 million, up 2% year over year, but segment profit fell 16% to $29.6 million. The segment’s trajectory therefore differed from insurance, where revenue and profit rose, and from home equity product revenue, which increased faster than home as a whole. The results show diverging performance across business drivers: modest growth in consumer revenue came with a decline in its profit, while insurance and home recorded revenue growth. The company also said it launched voice-based artificial intelligence features and offer summaries during the quarter to help consumers understand offers and choose the most suitable one before contacting a lender. It also cited a phased distribution application that limits multiple insurers or lenders from contacting a customer at the same time.

The company set fourth-quarter 2026 revenue at $315 million to $325 million and adjusted EBITDA at $34 million to $36 million. For fiscal 2026, it forecast revenue of $1.30 billion to $1.31 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $151 million to $153 million. The ranges set out management’s estimates for the rest of the year after third-quarter revenue growth, alongside a slight year-over-year decline in adjusted EBITDA. The company said conditions in the primary and secondary mortgage markets and the economy, particularly interest rates and inflation, could affect actual results. A call to discuss the third-quarter results was scheduled for November 3, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time.
