EQ Resources reported operating cash inflows of A$75.6 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, according to the company's quarterly activities report and cash flow statement. The report said opening cash was A$28.2 million, while closing cash stood at A$82.4 million on 30 September 2026. The disclosure presents operating cash flows and cash balances at the beginning and end of the period for the quarter. The company also said quarterly revenue reached a record, citing improved production and higher tungsten prices among the factors explaining its cash position. The figures put operating cash flows and revenue at the forefront of the quarter's results.

Revenue was A$158.8 million, up 101% from A$79 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, according to the report. The increase coincided with an 81% rise in production to 51,233 metric tonne units, compared with 28,315 units in the previous quarter. Sales volumes also increased 69% to 49,715 metric tonne units, versus 29,468 units in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. The comparison between the two periods shows simultaneous increases in production, sales and revenue, according to the figures published by the company. These operating indicators provide context for the increase in cash flows recorded in the report during the quarter.

The average realised tungsten price rose 20% to US$2,248 per metric tonne unit, compared with US$1,875 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. The company said its cash position at the end of September reflected improved production and record tungsten prices. Receivables stood at A$51.5 million on 30 September, according to the report. The company said it recorded record cash liquidity of A$82.3 million on that date, linking the level to improved production and record prices. That figure appeared alongside a closing cash balance of A$82.4 million in the report's cash flow table.

EQ Resources provided guidance for fiscal 2027, targeting production of between 240,000 and 280,000 metric tonne units and capital expenditure of between A$80 million and A$100 million. The guidance sets a range for production and capital spending for the fiscal year, according to the disclosure. The company also said its A$39 million Mount Carbine processing plant expansion and automation project was on schedule and budget. The company is targeting commissioning the project in the third quarter of fiscal 2027. The expansion is expected, according to the company, to double crushing capacity from about one million tonnes a year to about two million tonnes a year.
