Corcept revenue rises 64% to $340.5 million in third quarter of 2026
Key Facts
Corcept Therapeutics reported revenue of $340.5 million in the third quarter of 2026, up 64% from the same period in 2025, according to financial results released on November 3. The increase puts the company's latest performance in the context of expanding sales of its treatments as it awaits a U.S. Food and Drug Administration decision on its relacorilant application in December. The company said net income was $126.8 million, compared with $19.7 million in the third quarter of last year. Corcept kept its 2026 annual revenue guidance at a range of $1.1 billion to $1.2 billion. The forecast circulating for annual revenue of between $3 billion and $5 billion in 2030 is conditional on adding relacorilant to its Cushing's syndrome treatment business, according to Investing.com's summary of the second-quarter earnings call, and is not formal financial guidance.
Korlym and its approved generic accounted for most of the quarter's revenue, generating a combined $249.1 million, while Lifyorli revenue was about $91.4 million, the company said. Lifyorli's launch began on April 1, and the chief executive said more than 2,300 patients had received the drug since its launch and more than 1,700 physicians had prescribed it by the results announcement. These figures reflect the product's broader use since entering the market, alongside sales of Korlym and the approved generic. In the second quarter, the company generated revenue of $256.1 million, up 32% year over year, according to the earnings call reported by Investing.com. Lifyorli revenue in that quarter was $47.6 million, its first full quarter of availability.
For the first nine months of 2026, Corcept revenue was $761.522 million, compared with $559.282 million in the same period of 2025, according to a company filing. Revenue in the third quarter of 2025 was $207.638 million, allowing a direct comparison with $340.5 million in the third quarter of 2026. The official results show revenue and net income for the period, while the company did not compare those figures with analyst estimates in its filing. The official announcement therefore does not say that results exceeded market expectations. As of September 30, the company had $662.3 million in cash and investments, an increase of $117.7 million from the previous quarter.
One of the key upcoming dates centers on relacorilant for hypercortisolism. The FDA issued a complete response letter on December 30, 2025, requesting additional evidence of efficacy, and Corcept resubmitted the drug application on June 17, 2026. The agency set December 17, 2026, as its target date to complete the review. The date matters in light of the conditional forecast cited in the second-quarter call summary, which tied the possibility of annual revenue of between $3 billion and $5 billion for the Cushing's business in 2030 to adding relacorilant. The open-label phase of the GRACE trial included 152 patients with hypercortisolism, each of whom received treatment for 22 weeks.
The company's portfolio also includes a European pathway for relacorilant in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. In September 2026, the CHMP recommended approval of the drug for use with nab-paclitaxel, and the European Commission is due to issue its final decision in the fourth quarter of 2026. Looking at its ongoing trials, Corcept said it expects important data in 2027 from the BELLA trials, parts B and C, as well as TRIDENT and SYNERGY. In trading, CORT shares closed at $80.46 on November 2, 2026, before the third-quarter results announcement. The FDA decision on December 17 remains the next scheduled milestone in the U.S. relacorilant application process.
