Purchase Order Launches Indian Site Assessment for Eco Wave Power Project Ahead of Financial Report
Key Facts
Cooperation between Eco Wave Power and India’s Bharat Petroleum has moved to a site assessment of the Jawahar Deep offshore facility in Mumbai, after the Indian company issued a purchase order for the study on October 29. Eco Wave Power said the scope includes a comprehensive site assessment to support decisions on a proposed pilot installation. The work includes a study of marine conditions, an assessment of technical feasibility, and preparation of a work plan and final report. The company described the order as progress in implementing the parties’ 2025 agreement. The assessment is scheduled for completion within four months of the purchase order’s issuance. The step places the project at the site-study stage, while the available evidence does not establish that construction of a plant or installation of equipment has begun.
The study includes an assessment to help the parties determine the site’s suitability for the proposed installation, according to the company. Its scope covers site conditions and marine conditions, as well as technical feasibility. It also includes preparation of a work plan and a final assessment report, providing a basis for subsequent decisions on the project. The company said the purchase order “advances implementation of the two companies’ 2025 agreement.” This description places the assignment within the framework of the earlier agreement, without changing its nature as an assessment study. The work is scheduled to be completed within four months of the order’s issuance.
On technical development, the company said Eco Wave Power U.S. and AI engineering GmbH are members of the NVIDIA Inception program. It added that the project uses and evaluates NVIDIA Omniverse and NVIDIA Warp tools for visualization, simulation and modeling. The company links these tools to the digital twin work it cited among the developments accompanying its announcement. It also said the first phase included a physical model simulating the interaction of waves with floats, along with initial machine-learning capabilities to forecast energy and loads. According to the company, these functions enable simulation of the wave-energy system’s performance and estimation of its associated loads. These results remain part of the project’s development of technical tools.
On the financial calendar, the company’s official calendar indicates that its third-quarter report is scheduled for release on November 16, 2026.
