EverQuote reported revenue of $218.1 million in the third quarter of 2026, beating analysts’ estimate of $203.23 million, according to Reuters via Investing.com. Earnings per share were $0.49, compared with estimates of $0.47. The company also exceeded its previous quarterly revenue guidance range of $198 million to $208 million. The results showed diverging profit trends: adjusted earnings rose, while net income declined from the year-earlier period. The stock jumped 7.46% in extended trading after the announcement to $26.08, after closing the regular session at $24.27.

Net income under generally accepted accounting principles was $18.2 million, compared with $18.9 million in the third quarter of 2025. The company attributed the decline to higher income taxes and the impact of a one-time item during the quarter. By contrast, adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 41% to $35.5 million from $25.1 million a year earlier. That figure also exceeded the previous guidance range of $28 million to $31 million. The company uses adjusted earnings as a non-GAAP measure, according to its results statement.

Revenue from auto insurance was $190.4 million, up 21% year over year, while homeowners and renters insurance revenue was $27.7 million, up 70%. Homeowners and renters therefore grew faster than the auto business during the quarter. EverQuote describes itself as an AI-powered growth solutions partner for property and casualty insurers. The company says it helps insurers and agents acquire customers through digital channels.

Operating cash flow rose to $40.5 million, compared with $19.8 million in the year-earlier period. The company ended the quarter with $229.1 million in cash and cash equivalents and no outstanding debt. In the second quarter, it reported revenue of $195.1 million, net income of $19.2 million and adjusted earnings of $30.1 million. The CEO at the time said the company planned to expand its market opportunities in the second half of the year with solutions that use data, intelligence and artificial intelligence. The CFO added that business momentum strengthened the company’s confidence in its stated path to reach $1 billion in annual revenue, without specifying a timeline for that goal.
