Securitize announced on October 8, 2026, the launch of Securitize Stocks, a service for trading U.S. stocks on-chain, initially available to eligible investors in the United States, the European Union and other permitted jurisdictions. The company chose the Solana network for the launch, with transactions settled in USDC. It said each token is backed by one underlying share and represents a securities entitlement under Article 8 of the U.S. Uniform Commercial Code. The entitlement carries the rights and economic benefits applicable to the share, including distributions. That means the offering, as the company describes it, is based on underlying shares rather than tokens that merely track their prices.

The initial launch list included shares in Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta, Amazon, Netflix, Circle, SpaceX, Strategy and Palantir. Securitize offered the service through a trading route it says is regulated through its registered broker, with access subject to know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering requirements. Investors are also subject to eligibility checks based on jurisdiction and to applicable securities laws. The company said access will remain conditional on those requirements. Use of the service therefore depends on the investor's location and regulatory status, as well as the availability of shares in the offering.

Trading began during extended hours and was not available around the clock at launch. The company said it plans to move to 24-hour trading, seven days a week, without specifying a timetable for the change in its launch statement. It also said its shares are expected to be eligible for trading on tokenized securities platforms covered by U.S. regulatory exemptions under consideration. That route remains dependent on the shares' eligibility and the arrangements of those platforms, according to the company. On September 17, 2026, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission issued a conditional temporary exemption concerning blockchain-based tokenized securities trading platforms.

SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said the exemptions "allow market participants to experiment in preparation for a future in which on-chain trading of tokenized stocks may become common." The move places regulatory experimentation in the context of testing stock trading across blockchain networks, while Securitize linked its offering to the possibility of regulated trading through its broker. The company added that it expects its shares to be eligible for trading on tokenized securities platforms covered by the exemption. Securitize had about $5 billion in assets under management in September 2026, according to its launch statement. EL7 data shows that SECZ shares closed at $7.56 on October 30, 2026.
