Indraprastha Gas reported a 93.5% year-on-year decline in standalone net profit to ₹24.38 crore for the quarter ended September 2026. Business Standard reported that the company's shares fell 10% to hit a 52-week low of ₹125.65 on the BSE.
The sharp decline in profitability was driven by surging input gas procurement costs which eroded margins despite an increase in gross sales turnover. While average daily gas sales crossed the 10 million standard cubic metres per day mark for the first time during the July-September 2026 period, the rising costs significantly offset the gains from higher sales volumes.
