NALCO said its board will consider unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026, along with an interim dividend for fiscal 2026-27. The notice puts second-quarter and half-year results on the board’s agenda, but provides no profit or revenue figures and does not specify the amount of any dividend. NALCO’s second-quarter results for fiscal 2026 showed net profit of 1,433 crore rupees, up 35% from 1,062 crore rupees in the same period a year earlier, according to a company statement. Revenue from operations was 4,292 crore rupees for the quarter, up 7.2% year on year. Figures circulating for the current second quarter, including profit, revenue and EBITDA growth, could not be confirmed from the company disclosure available.

The first-quarter results for fiscal 2027 provide a more recent comparison of the company’s performance. NALCO said net profit rose 88% year on year to 2,002.38 crore rupees, from 1,063.86 crore rupees in the same quarter of fiscal 2026. That figure relates to the quarter ended June 30, 2026, and does not represent results for the quarter ended in September. The second-quarter and half-year results therefore remain the focus of the announced board meeting, alongside the interim dividend item. In a statement on its performance in fiscal 2025-26, the company said the outlook for aluminium demand in India remained favourable and that it expected the strong growth trajectory to continue. It also said it paid interim dividends of 10.50 rupees per share during fiscal 2026, totalling 1,928.46 crore rupees.

Across the broader industrial sector, India’s industrial output growth slowed to 6.7% year on year in September 2026, from a downwardly revised 7.8% in August, and fell short of market expectations of 7.2%, according to Trading Economics. Manufacturing growth slowed to 7.6% in September from 8.6% the previous month. In mining and quarrying, the contraction continued and accelerated to 6.2%, after a 4.6% decline in August. These figures provide a weaker backdrop for industrial and mining activity in the month the fiscal quarter ended, but do not determine NALCO’s performance on their own. The next company-related development will be what the board announces on results and the interim dividend.
