Lite-On’s third-quarter 2026 net profit was about NT$7.4 billion, up 60% year over year, while earnings per share reached NT$3.27, a quarterly record, the company said in a statement. The results showed the impact of expanding cloud and AI activities on the performance of the Taiwanese components and power supplier. The company said revenue from its Cloud & IoT business grew about 60% from the same period a year earlier. Management linked the performance to demand for next-generation AI data center infrastructure. It also pointed to a higher contribution from high-value businesses, along with savings from global expansion and improved operating efficiency.

Margin indicators improved alongside profit growth, with gross margin reaching 25.9%, up 0.9 percentage point year over year. Operating margin rose to 15.1%, an increase of 4.7 percentage points. Lite-On attributed the gains to its business mix, as higher-value activities contributed more, and to economies of scale from expanding production capacity globally. The company said smart manufacturing efficiency also supported operating performance. The wider increase in operating margin compared with gross margin puts the improvement in a context that goes beyond revenue growth alone.

In the first nine months of the year, revenue totaled NT$153.5 billion, up 26% year over year, while net profit reached NT$18.3 billion. Earnings per share were NT$8.08, up 64% from the same period and a new record. The company said revenue from cloud computing activities increased 80% in the first nine months. AI-related revenue also exceeded 30% of total revenue through the end of September. The figures show that cloud and AI expansion accounted for a growing part of the company’s business base during the year.

Second-quarter results provided a recent point of comparison: in an announcement issued in July, Lite-On said revenue for that quarter was NT$52.7 billion and earnings per share reached a then-record NT$3.14, up 126% year over year. In September, monthly revenue reached NT$18.8 billion, up 22% year over year. The company said demand for AI and cloud server power systems and battery backup units supported monthly revenue. Cumulative revenue reported from January to September was NT$153.559 billion, according to the company’s monthly data, compared with the rounded figure in its nine-month results announcement. The company held its third-quarter 2026 investor conference on October 30, 2026.

Demand strength was not evenly distributed across the company’s businesses; management linked growth to demand for data center infrastructure, a larger share of high-value businesses, global expansion and smart manufacturing efficiency. The company said its outlook for core businesses in the fourth quarter is based on year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter growth, supported by upgrades to AI power management systems and the mass production of power and storage solutions. The products it cited were not limited to one equipment category, but included data center solutions, ASIC applications and backup power systems. The company said the start of mass production for these products supports its outlook for the coming period. That outlook remains tied to how customer demand develops and their ability to overcome electricity constraints and deliver next-generation platforms, constraints cited by management.

Among the products Lite-On said would support fourth-quarter business through mass production were 8.5-kilowatt power supplies for ASIC applications, next-generation 110-kilowatt VR solutions and 42-inch Helios power racks. These products are part of the power system upgrades the company is relying on to support data center expansion. Lite-On expects its core businesses to grow year over year and quarter over quarter in the fourth quarter. The company’s stated trajectory depends on continued demand for these solutions and their transition to mass production. The company did not provide a specific figure for the expected growth rate in its outlook.
