U.S. Spot Bitcoin Funds Record $643 Million in Outflows on Friday
Key Facts
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded net outflows of $643 million on Friday, October 30, 2026, according to data from Farside Investors cited by CryptoSlate. The withdrawals followed four consecutive trading days of inflows, ending a short run of demand for the funds. Investors had put $440.8 million into them from Monday through Thursday, but Friday’s flows reversed the weekly tally to a net outflow of $202.4 million. Positive flows on most days of the week were therefore insufficient to offset the withdrawal recorded in the final session. The activity was concentrated in a limited number of funds: five recorded outflows, while the others reported no net flows.
According to CryptoSlate, five of the 12 funds recorded outflows on October 30, while the other seven reported zero net flows. No fund attracted inflows that day, leaving the $643 million total as withdrawals spread across five products, with no offsetting flows from the others. The breakdown shows that IBIT and FBTC accounted for the bulk of the individual outflows. BlackRock’s IBIT recorded the largest withdrawal among the five funds, at $233.7 million. Fidelity’s FBTC ranked second, with an outflow of $201 million.
ARK 21Shares’ ARKB recorded an outflow of about $129.5 million, while withdrawals from Grayscale’s GBTC totaled about $53.3 million. Bitwise’s BITB recorded an outflow of $25.7 million. The figures show that the three largest individual outflows came from IBIT, FBTC and ARKB, while withdrawals from GBTC and BITB made up the remaining amounts reported by the funds. In total, five funds recorded outflows as the daily net withdrawal reached $643 million. The other seven funds reported no net flows to offset those withdrawals.
CryptoSlate said the latest outflows followed an earlier decline on October 22, noting that the website covered that drop the previous week. Against the backdrop of market moves during the month, Bloomberg reported that Bitcoin fell below $80,000 on Monday, October 26, amid a selloff in artificial intelligence-linked stocks. Bloomberg noted that U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin funds recorded outflows of $772.4 million on the Thursday and Friday before that drop. These episodes place the October 30 withdrawals within a series of outflow days during the month, though the measurement periods differ between the new daily figure and the outflows cited for the previous week. The open source did not link the October 30 outflows to increased derivatives exposure or leverage.
Attention now turns to the U.S. employment situation report for October, which the Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to publish on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time. The report is an upcoming data release after a week in which Bitcoin funds shifted from four days of inflows to a weekly net outflow. The Federal Reserve also plans to release the minutes of its October 27–28 meeting on November 18 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. The Fed said inflation remains elevated and that its policy continues to maintain ample reserves in the banking system. The minutes will follow a meeting held in late October, with the jobs data the first scheduled event on this calendar.
