Sasken Technologies reported consolidated revenue of Rs 320.95 crore in the second quarter of fiscal 2026-2027, ended September 30, 2026, up 25.6% year over year. It nevertheless recorded a 5.4% decline from the previous quarter, reflecting different performance trends across the annual and quarterly comparisons. Net profit after tax was Rs 25.59 crore, up 143.8% from the year-earlier period and 8.8% from the previous quarter. The company said its net profit margin was 8.0% during the quarter. The company follows a financial year that begins in April and ends in March, so its results refer to the second quarter of fiscal 2026-2027, not the second quarter of calendar 2027.

Operating profit improved faster than revenue on a quarterly basis: earnings before interest and taxes were Rs 28.49 crore, up 31.2% from the previous quarter and 394.3% from the year-earlier period. Its margin reached 8.9%. In its investor presentation, Sasken said earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were Rs 413 million, with a margin of 12.9%. That margin rose 328 basis points quarter over quarter. These figures show improved profitability metrics during the period, alongside a decline in revenue from the previous quarter.

Software services drove growth, while shipments in the products and solutions segment were weak. The company said revenue from products and solutions fell 42% from the previous quarter, despite rising 2.4% year over year. It attributed the decline to lower shipment volumes due to component availability constraints. It added that continued tight supply in the global memory market affected shipment volumes. It also noted that growing demand for AI infrastructure is affecting the allocation of memory production capacity and component availability.

Order bookings during the quarter were $47.3 million, including $24.8 million in new business, and included four new customers. Work announced by the company included projects in automotive connectivity, asset tracking, cockpit systems and advanced driver assistance, as well as electric vehicle engineering and semiconductor intellectual property design. Among the contracts, Sasken said it won a multi-disciplinary engineering project with a leading Indian electric vehicle company. The project covers application development, human-machine interfaces, middleware and testing. These bookings distinguish total new business from renewals, rather than describing the full value as new contracts.

The company ended the quarter with cash and cash equivalents of Rs 398.8 crore as of September 30, 2026. Its board declared an interim dividend of Rs 12 per equity share for fiscal 2026-2027. The company set November 3, 2026, as the record date for shareholders eligible for the dividend. The dividend is due to be paid by November 26, 2026. The dividend announcement accompanied the quarterly results and bookings reported by the company for the period.
